JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – Marie D' Angelo and Dana Hunt scored in the first fifteen minutes to spearhead a 5-0 West Chester victory, in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference action, Wednesday afternoon at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown.
Carly Yost score twice in the second half, and
Lexi Brown finished of the scoring for the Golden Rams (9-4, 8-4 PSAC) who rebounded after having their seven game winning streak snapped on Saturday in Millersville. Pitt-Johnstown (0-12, 0-12 PSAC) continues to search for a victory in its initial season in the PSAC.
D' Angelo knocked home a rebound off a
Noelle Harner shot in the 9
th minute to open the scoring for her second of the year.
Hunt headed home her third of the year, from a
Lexi Lentz cross in the 15
th minute, to give the Golden Rams the 2-0 lead they took into the break.
Yost got West Chester rolling again early in the second stanza, when she put in her fourth of the year converting an
Erika Schrock pass in the 49
th minute.
Two minutes later the junior picked up her own rebound and made it a four goal lead.
Brown ended the scoring netting her fourth of year from Dana Hunt in the 57
th minute.
Alex Srolis made three saves in goal for the Rams. Timi Shiock stopped 12 shots for UPJ.
West Chester returns to South Campus Field on Saturday for a home battle with the other PSAC newcomer Seton Hill at 2:30 p.m.
