MANSFIELD, Pa. – Megan Callanan scored twice in less than two minutes of playing time, to break open a close match, and lead No. 5 West Chester to a 5-0 victory over Mansfield, in PSAC action Saturday morning at Karl Van Norman Field.
Marnie Kusavitch gave the Golden Rams (11-4, 6-2 PSAC) a 1-0 lead after nearly 29 minutes of action, when she used her speed to break free and slap a 10 yard shot past the keeper.
Kristie Rollman made 10 first half saves to keep Mansfield (4-11, 1-8 PSAC) close.
The complexion of the game change quickly, when Callanan backhanded a shot into the goal with just 25 seconds left in the first half, to give West Chester a 2-0 lead going into the break.
She continued her torrid pace, just a minute and a half into the second stanza, by scoring her fifth goals in the last three games, tipping in a pass from
Nancy Stehman (Lancaster, Pa. / Penn Manor) for her team leading 12th on the season.
Stehman assisted on the final three West Chester goals.
After setting up Callanan, she sent a cross in front of the goal that
Alayna Brown put in for her sixth of the year in the 44
th minute.
Lauren McGinley provided the final score deflecting in a Stehman pass in with just over 10 minutes to play.
Audree Bonavita made one save in goal for the Golden Rams, picking up her third straight shutout.

The West Chester wraps up its home schedule with a Tuesday afternoon match with Mercyhurst. The Golden Rams will honor a highly decorated class of seniors, who have brought home back to back national championships, game time is set for 4 p.m.
