West Chester Women Open PSAC Schedule With Convincing Win

WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Dallas Ely poured in a team-high 17 points, leading six different players in double figures, as host West Chester opened its PSAC schedule with a convincing victory over visiting Cheyney Wednesday night inside Hollinger Field House.
 
West Chester (2-2, 1-0 PSAC East) reached 90 points for the second time in the last three games while Cheyney (0-2, 0-1) dropped its 14th straight contest to the Golden Rams. The 93-44 win marked the largest margin of victory for West Chester since topping Cheyney 97-45 in February 2011.
 
Anna Kuntz posted a career-high 12 points and added a team-best eight rebounds. Kendall Benovy notched 13 points and grabbed seven boards, and Jasmen Clark scored 12 points. Tori Smick posted 11. Brittany Sicinski scored 10 points and dished out five assists. A total of 11 different players penciled their name into the scorebook for the Rams Wednesday night.
 
West Chester held a 50-31 advantage on the boards, including a 22-5 advantage on the offensive glass.
 
Cheyney was led by Amber Genwright, who scored 12 points, and Cristina Jordan's 11 points and seven rebounds.
 
The Golden Rams travel to Mansfield University on Saturday for a 1 p.m. tipoff in yet another important PSAC contest before the Thanksgiving holiday.
