MANSFIELD, Pa. – Brittany Sicinski scored 17 points, Dallas Ely added 14 and Jasmen Clark chipped in 10 to lead West Chester to a 78-60 PSAC East women’s basketball victory over host Mansfield Wednesday night inside Decker Gym.
West Chester (13-7, 10-6 PSAC) increased its winning streak to four while Mansfield (4-16, 2-14) dropped its eighth straight.
All three leading scorers for the Golden Rams are freshmen.
The Golden Rams opened up the game on a 16-4 run and never looked back. West Chester scored the first nine points of the game. Sicinski scored five of the 16 points in the opening spurt.
Meghan Kerrigan scored nine points, one shy of her career high. Ely nailed five 3-pointers for the second straight game. She accounted for half of the team’s 3-pointers all by herself. West Chester shot 47.7 percent from the field, including 31.6 percent from beyond the arc.
Katie Fitzpatrick led Mansfield with 16 points while Julia Stevenson scored 14.
West Chester travels to Millersville on Saturday for a 1 p.m. showdown with the Marauders.
