Stehman's OT Tally Makes A Winner Out Of West Chester, 3-2

Box Score

INDIANA, Pa. – Nancy Stehman's goal in overtime delivered a 3-2 victory for top-ranked West Chester over No. 6 Indiana (Pa.) on the road Saturday afternoon.

West Chester (3-1) rebounded from its first loss of the season to No. 2 Shippensburg earlier in the week to pick up the win away from home over IUP (1-3).

Stehman lifted a shot from the left side into the right-hand side of the net off a corner 1:12 into the extra session to give the visitors a dramatic come-from-behind victory. West Chester trailed 2-0 with 15 minutes left in the contest, before scoring three unanswered goals to secure the win.

Lauren McGinley poked in a loose ball during a mad scramble in front of the IUP net at 58:15 to finally get the Golden Rams on the board. With five minute left, Megan Callanan then converted a penalty corner to tie the game. Stehman's game-winner in OT came off an assist from Kelsey Cheek.

Sarah Krause (3-1) picked up the win in goal.

West Chester hosts PSAC rival Millersville on Wednesday at Vonnie Gros Field at 4 p.m.
