Cara Deola scored the lone goal of the game midway through the second half, leading West Chester University to a 1-0 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference victory at 15
th ranked East Stroudsburg University.
West Chester (4-3, 4-3 PSAC), has won three in a row to get over the five hundred mark, for the first time since an opening day victory. East Stroudsburg (5-2, 5-2 PSAC) fell for the second consecutive contest.
Deola scored her third of the year with an assist from
Lexi Brown at the 63:41 mark in the second half.
Alex Srolis returned to the West Chester net to pick up her second victory and shutout of the season, making three saves in the process. Brittain Wagner made five stops in goal for East Stroudsburg.
The Golden Rams play their first non-conference game of year on Saturday, when they visit Philadelphia University at noon. West Chester is a home again on Wednesday October 2
nd for a PSAC battle with Indiana University of Pennsylvania at 1 PM.
