WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Kelsey Cheek opened the scoring less than two minutes into the contest, and third ranked West Chester University never looked back in capturing a 10-3 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference victory over Seton Hill University on a sunny Saturday afternoon at Vonnie Gros Field.
The Golden Rams (6-2, 2-0 PSAC) controlled play in the first half and led 5-0 at the half. Seton Hill (3-6, 0-2 PSAC) was able to put more pressure on and scored three times in the second half.
Alexis Versak widened the lead from
Stef Pirri, then
Hannah Davies converted a Pirri pass to make it 3-0.
Cheek finished with a pair of goals, while Pirri added a goal to her two assists on the afternoon.
Audree Bonavita picked up the victory stopping one shot in the game.
Sarah Krause also saw action and made two saves in the West Chester net. Autumn Reid faced a barrage of shots from beginning to end, made 15 saves in goal for Seton Hill.
The Golden Rams return to action next Saturday when they travel to East Stroudsburg for a 1 PM start.
