Box Score 2 Lock Haven, Pa. - West Chester senior
Carley Yost (North Wales, Pa. / North Penn) was named the PSAC Women's Soccer athlete of the week. The conference announced the award Monday afternoon. Yost is the first West Chester women's soccer player to earn the award this season.
Yost began the week scoring a game-winner to lift the Golden Rams over Shippensburg by a score of, 1-0. Yost took control of the ball and shot it passed the goalie with two minutes remaining in the second half for the only goal of the game.
On Saturday, Yost continued her scoring ways by adding her second goal of the week against Millersville. The Golden Rams were hanging onto a one-goal lead until Yost scored on a pass from
Kara Parvel (Whitehall, Pa. / Whitehall) to give the Golden Rams a 2-0 win over the Marauders.
For the week, Yost scored two goals in two games and helped the Rams secure two conference wins. The Golden Rams finished the week with an 11-1 conference record and 12-1 overall.
West Chester will be back at Rockwell Field on Wednesday as they take on PSAC West rival Pitt-Johnstown at 3 p.m.
