BETHLEHEM, Pa. - West Chester University picked up a pair of first-place finishes on the diving board, but only mustered three seconds and a pair of thirds in the pool as Division I opponent Lehigh took a 213-80 decision Friday afternoon inside Jacobs Pool.
Jamie Westwood (Breinigsville, Pa./Parkland) swept the 1-meter and 3-meter diving competition. She scored a 212.02 on the 1M and a 227.84 on the 3M to capture first place. Right behind her was teammate
Kailyn Bell (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall), who placed second in the 1M with a score of 173.25 while also coming in runner-up in the 3M with a 185.40.
Senior Lauren Carastro (Vineland, N.J./Vineland) was runner-up inthe 1000 freestyle with a time of 10 minutes, 51.69 seconds. She also finished third in the 500 free in 5:15.36.
Kendall Somer (West Chester, Pa./Unionville) placed second in the 200 breaststroke in time of 2:26.15. She was third in the 200 Individual Medley (2:19.31).
The 400 free relay team of Emily Stang, Morgan Haney, Carastro and Alexis Walley was second, touching the wall in 3:45.56.
