Women's Soccer Hosts Regional Finals And National Quarterfinals

WEST CHESTER, Pa. - West Chester University's nationally ranked women's soccer squad is set to host the Atlantic Region final versus West Virginia Wesleyan and the East Region final that pits Mercy against College of Saint Rose Friday afternoon. The two winners will then meet in the national quarterfinal on Sunday at noon. All three games will be played at Rockwell Field on South Campus.

Admission to the soccer playoff games this weekend at West Chester University is $7 for adults, $3 for students with ID/Senior Citizens and $1 for children ages 2-12. An all-session pass will be available on Friday for purchase. They will be $10 for adults and $5 for students. Tickets can be purchased the day of the event and will be available at the ticket tents as fans enter the field. Tickets are available day of the game only.

The first 300 West Chester University students, with a valid school ID, will be admitted FREE of charge.

First up on Friday is host West Chester (16-2-2), ranked 18th in the latest NSCAA Division II womens soccer poll, versus Mountain East Conference champion West Virginia Wesleyan (13-4-3). That game kicks off at 11 a.m. at Rockwell Field. The Golden Rams advanced on penalty kicks in the second round against California, Pa. while the Bobcats also advanced on penalty kicks at East Stroudsburg in the second round.

The East Region final sees No. 6 Saint Rose (19-1-2) taking on No. 17 Mercy College (17-2-1) at approximately 1:30 p.m., after the West Chester-West Virginia Wesleyan contest.
