Rachal Toppi (Glassboro, N.J./Glassboro) scored two goals to lead fourth-ranked West Chester University to a 3-1 victory over visiting Indiana, Pa., Saturday afternoon at Vonnie Gros Field.

West Chester (8-2, 2-2 PSAC) evened its record as the Golden Rams keep climbing their way back into a playoff position. IUP (4-5, 2-3 PSAC) fell behind the Rams in the standings.

Toppi put the Golden Rams on top just three minutes into the contest when she dribbled along the end line and then blasted a shot between the Crimson Hawks' goalkeeper's legs.

IUP's MacKenzie Noll tied things up in the 21st minute when she beat West Chester keeper
Brianna Morgan (Egg Harbor, N.J./Egg Harbor Twp.) on a penalty corner. However, seven minutes later,
Alexis Versak (Limerick, Pa./Spring-Ford) put West Chester back in the lead for good with a slap shot of her own off a penalty corner.

Toppi then one-timed a pass from
Marnie Kusakavitch (Pittston, Pa./Holy Redeemer) in the 48th minute to close out the scoring.

Morgan (2-0) made seven saves in the cage for West Chester as the Golden Rams frustrated IUP, which had 11 corner opportunities, including six straight during a particular stretch in the second half that the Hawks were unable to capitalize.

West Chester is right back at it Sunday afternoon with a non-league contest against No. 8 Limestone.
