Box Score 2 LOCK HAVAEN, Pa. – Freshman left-hander Amanda Houck tossed a three-hit shutout in the opener, and fellow freshman righty, Brooke Harner, collected the win in relief in the nightcap as visiting West Chester swept a PSAC East softball doubleheader from Lock Haven by 4-0 and 6-2 scores Friday afternoon.

West Chester (36-12, 20-6 PSAC East) remains in first place with two more wins than Bloomsburg, heading into the Golden Rams' final regular-season games Saturday. The Huskies still have four games to play in their season. Lock Haven fell to 14-26 overall and 10-16 in conference play.

Houck (17-4) scattered three hits over seven innings while walking one and striking out three to pick up her 17th win of the season.

West Chester did all of its scoring in the sixth with a four-run frame. Cat Hammer hit a pinch-hit, two-run single to highlight the inning. Sarah Walasavage and Erin Whitman also had RBI hits. Walasavage finished 3-for-4, and Erin Quense went 2-for-4 offensively.

Harner (8-7) came on in relief in the third inning of game two and the Golden Rams leading, 4-2, to pick up the win inside the circle in the nightcap. She threw five innings in relief, scattering four hits while walking just two and striking out six. She did not allow a run.

The first three batters in West Chester's order went 6-for-12 while Quense hit her fifth home run of the season. Laura Altenburger went 2-for-4, and Madison Kelly had a pair of hits in two official trips to the plate.

West Chester ends its regular-season schedule at home Saturday afternoon on Senior Day with a doubleheader against Kutztown beginning at 1 p.m.
