No. 5 West Chester Downs Mercyhurst, 2-1

ERIE, Pa. – Sophomore transfer Taylor Jamison (Honeybrook, Pa./Twin Valley) scored her first goal as part of the Purple & Gold for the game-winner to lead visiting West Chester over host Mercyhurst, 2-1, Friday afternoon at the MU Soccer Complex.
 
The Golden Rams (3-0, 3-0 PSAC) sit atop the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) standings after the first three games of the season, after their third-straight win to open the season.
 
Mercyhurst's (0-2-1, 0-2-1 PSAC) Kristina Roberti scored the lone goal for the Lakers at the end of the first half to cut West Chester's lead in half.
 
Junior midfielder Scarlett Walsh (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) opened up the scoring with her first goal of the season in the 18th minute. Jamison then doubled the Rams' lead in the 24th minute. Teammate Kara Parvel (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall) provided the assists on each marker.
 
Alex Srolis (Chester Springs, Pa. / Downingtown East) started and played all 90 minutes for the third-straight game, while letting in one goal on four shots and making three saves.

West Chester will try to keep the momentum going as they play their second game in back-to-back days tomorrow against Gannon at 5 p.m.
