Box Score MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - Arianna Grays scored with 9:46 left in overtime to lift second-ranked Millersville to a 1-0 victory over top-ranked West Chester before a national audience watching on ESPN3 Wednesday evening at Chryst Field at Biemesderfer Stadium.
West Chester (6-1, 0-1 PSAC) had an opportunity to score three minutes into the extra session, but Millersville goalkeeper, Samantha Rumler, came up with the pad save of a rocket of a shot from the top of the circle. Millersville (6-0, 1-0) remains one of only two teams at the Division II level still unbeaten on the year.
The overtime affair marked the fifth time out of the last seven encounters between the two schools that took extra time to decide. It was also the fifth straight meeting between the two institutions that pitted No. 1 vs. No. 2.
West Chester returns to action Saturday when the Golden Rams head to East Stroudsburg to take on the fourth-ranked Warriors.
