West Chester Downs East Stroudsburg, 84-67

WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Sr., G Dallas Ely (Montrose, Pa. / Montrose) scored a game-high 17 points to help West Chester defeat East Stroudsburg 84-67 inside Hollinger Field House Saturday afternoon.
 
The Golden Rams (9-5, 6-4 PSAC) went down 11-8 early, but concluded the first period on a 15-2 run to go up by eight. They pushed the lead to 24 points going into halftime (45-21). East Stroudsburg (6-8, 4-6 PSAC) would eventually cut the lead to 15, but it was too late for the Warriors in the end falling by 17 point.
 
Ely fell short of a triple-double, finishing the victory off with nine rebounds, seven assists, and two steals. Senior guard Brittany Sicinski (Downingtown, Pa. / Downingtown West) finished second on the team in scoring with 15 points and grabbing eight rebounds, to go with five assists.
 
Forwards Kendall Benovy (Hershey, Pa. / Hershey) and Anna Kuntz (Camp Hill, Pa. / Trinity) added 12 points each and combined for 15 rebounds, nine at the defensive end.
 
WCU outscored the Warriors 42-18 in the paint to build up the lead, while also putting pressure on ESU by turning them over 22 times for the game.  
 
Warriors' Noelle Powell led all scorers a game-high 18 points, going 5 for 6 from the field off the bench.
 Alison Howard matched Ely's 17 points, making 7 of 12, while Imani Brown contributed 14 points in the loss.
 
West Chester gets back on the court Wednesday as they take on cross-town rival Cheyney at 5:30 p.m. on the road.
