Box Score 2 CLERMONT, Fla. - The No. 21 Golden Rams used a combined 19 runs to bounce back from their first loss of the season. West Chester (19-1) defeated Wayne State College 9-1 (5 inn.) and Slippery Rock University 10-7 on Thursday in Clermont, Fla.
West Chester's
Amanda Houck (Gap, Pa./Pequea Valley) went the distance in game one versus Wayne State. Houck (8-1) allowed one run on three hits in her complete game effort. The five inning complete game was her sixth of the season.
Sarah Walasavage (Minersville, Pa./Minersville) hit her second home run in as many days. Walasavage accounted for three of West Chester's nine game one runs. With two swiped bags in game one, Walasavage is a perfect 10-for-10 in the stolen base category.

Cat Hammer (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) and
Monica Twardowski (Boothwyn, Pa./Padua Academy) had multi-hit games.
After entering the game in relief,
Katie Erb (Douglassville, Pa./Daniel Boone) earned the game two win versus Slippery Rock for the Rams. Erb (5-0) threw 5.1 innings of relief pitching.
Houck entered the game in the seventh and was awarded her first save of the season.
West Chester scored 10 runs on six hits. Slippery Rock committed two errors and walked nine WCU batters.
Hitting in the leadoff spot,
Alyssa Herion (Avon Grove, Pa./Avon Grove) drew three of WCU's nine walks.
Sara Ercolani (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown East) had two hits and knocked in four base runners.
Hammer hit her third home run of the year and had a three RBI game.
The No. 21 Golden Rams wrap up their spring break trip tomorrow with games against Grand Valley State at 9 a.m. and Molloy College at 11 a.m.
