Box Score 2 WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Madison Kelly (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall) knocked in a run in game one, and led off game two with a home run, to lead West Chester University to a doubleheader sweep over visiting Millersville Saturday afternoon.

West Chester (25-3, 2-0 PSAC East) opened its Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division schedule with two victories at home over Millersville (15-11, 2-2).

Kelly was 1-for-3 in game one, including a two-out single in the fifth inning that plated pinch-runner Shannon Gray with the game-winning run.
Sarah Walasavage (Minersville, Pa./Minersville) followed up with a RBI single that scored Kelly with the second run of the frame.

Brooke Harner (Chadds Ford, Pa./Kennett) (9-0) needed to remain perfect on the year. She tossed a two-hit shutout inside the circle.

In game two, Kelly smashed her fourth home run of the season to dead center field to give West Chester an early 1-0 lead. The Golden Rams later tacked on four runs in the third and one more in the sixth en route to the 6-2 win.

Lauren Scarpato (Springfield, Pa./Springfield-DELCO) hit a pinch-hit, two-run single with the bases loaded, and then
Monica Twardowski (Boothwyn, Pa./Padua Academy) tripled in another run during the four-run frame.

Cat Hammer (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) went 3-for-4 with a run scored and a RBI in the nightcap as well.

Amanda Houck (Gap, Pa./Pequea Valley) (10-3) pitched six innings, giving up two runs, one of them earned, on seven hits while walking three and striking out six. She also hit a batter.
Katie Erb (Douglassville, Pa./Daniel Boone) came on in relief to record her fifth save of the season and 11th of her career – tying the PSAC all-time record for saves.

West Chester travels to Chestnut Hill next Wednesday for a non-league affair with the Griffins.
