EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – In a rematch of one of last year's NCAA Division II national semifinal contests, East Stroudsburg upended No. 9 West Chester, 4-0, at Whitenight Field Wednesday afternoon.

West Chester (2-3) was blanked for the first time since East Stroudsburg (4-2) turned the same trick last September 26 on its home field.

The Warriors scored three times in the first half, and then added a fourth and final tally in the second half to walk away with the win.

Sarah Krause (Lancaster, Pa./Conestoga Valley) made seven saves in the cage, despite taking the loss. Danielle Ard was credited with eight saves for ESU. West Chester outshot East Stroudsburg, 17-16. However, the Warriors held a 14-6 advantage in penalty corners.

West Chester returns home Saturday to host Mercyhurst at 1 p.m.
