Rachal Toppi (Glassboro, N.J./Glassboro) scored a pair of goals, but host LIU-Post proved too much for the visiting Golden Rams as the Pioneers topped West Chester, 5-2 Wednesday afternoon in a non-conference tilt.

West Chester (1-2) managed just six shots the entire game, and LIU-Post (2-0) held a 9-2 advantage in penalty corners, as the Golden Rams dropped their second consecutive contest.

Toppi scored her fourth and fifth goals of the season in the loss. She cut a 2-0 deficit in half before halftime. However, The Pioneers answered just 45 seconds into the second half and then potted another to make it 4-1, before Toppi could put the visitors on the board again.

Junior goalkeeper,
Sarah Krause (Lancaster, Pa./Conestoga Valley) started in the cage for West Chester. She allowed three of the five goals in 47 minutes of action. Freshman
Katie Dowling (Yorktown, Va./Tabb) made her first college appearance, going the rest of the way and allowing two more tallies.

The Pioneers' Emily Miller registered a hat trick for the hosts while Steph Mocerino scored one goal and added an assist.

West Chester returns home on Saturday to host Indiana (Pa.) at 4 p.m. at Vonnie Gros Field.
