SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Five different individuals and one relay all brought home first-place ribbons as West Chester cruised to a pair of wins in its season-opening tri-meet at Shippensburg Saturday morning.

West Chester topped host Shippensburg, 220-104, while defeating Southern Connecticut State, 248-78. The Golden Rams' divers were also in action Saturday as
Nadia Mulder (Hummelstown, Pa./Hershey) recorded a pair of wins off both the 1-meter and 3-meter springboards. The Rams' ladies swept the top three spots from SCSU off both boards.

Mulder scored a 274.20 to win the 3-meter while scoring a 241.90 to take the 1-meter.
Lyndsey Pope (York Haven, Pa./Northeastern) was right behind her in both events with a 211.25 off the 3m and a 221.30 off the 1m.
Grace Harvey (Norristown, Pa./Norristown) was third in both events.

In the pool,
Georgia Wright (Doncaster, UK) picked up right where she left off at nationals last spring, winning the 1650-yard freestyle by more than a minute. She clocked a time of 17 minutes, 31.57 seconds to easily take first. Teammate
Jenna Fox (Holland, Pa./Council Rock South) was third in 18:40.52.

Morgan Haney (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) led three teammates to the wall in the 50 free as the Golden Rams swept the top spots. She touched out in 24.62 while
Mikaela Lantz (Reading, Pa./Reading) was right behind in 25.02 and
Megan Sensenig (Wyomissing, Pa./Wilson) third in 25.26.

Megan Burns (Wallingford, Pa./Strath Haven) also led a contingent to the finish line in the 200 backstroke as the Golden Rams claimed the top three spots in that event as well. She touched in 2:12.13 while
Emily Haudek (Wantagh, N.J./High Point Regional) was second in 2:13.18 and
Elizabeth Miller (Levittown, Pa./Neshaminy) was third in 2:15.69.

Kimmi Szajnuk (Enola, Pa./Trinity) was the first of three Golden Rams to place in the 200 free with a time of 2:00.65 while
Morgan Haines (Reinholds, Pa./Cocalico) was second in 2:01.02 and
Lovisa Nyman-Persson (Umea, Sweden) third in 2:01.03.

Meghan Keithly (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown West) won the 100 butterfly in 1:00.29. Teammates Lantz and
Emma O'Neill (Glenside, Pa./Abington) were right behind in second and third, respectively, in 1:01.12 and 1:01.54.

Though, Shippensburg claimed first place in the 200 breaststroke, West Chester put swimmers in second, third and fourth as a display of its depth for the upcoming campaign.

The 200 medley relay, consisting of Burns,
Emelie Johansson (Taby, Sweden), Keithly and
Sydney Wareham (Mount Joy, Pa./Donegal), was a winner as well in a time of 1:52.13. The Golden Rams also had a foursome take third place in 1:54.83.

West Chester will return to action on Friday when it lifts the lid on its home slate by hosting Bloomsburg and Lehigh in a tri-meet that begins at 6 p.m.
