WEST CHESTER, Pa. - Lucas Von der Heyde (Exton, Pa./Great Valley) picked up a straight-set win at first singles and teamed up with
Charlie Rushing (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury) at first doubles for a pair of wins Saturday. However, it was not enough to overcome visiting Fairmont State in a 7-2 non-league men's tennis match on South Campus.
Von der Heyde concluded a rather impressive weekend with a 7-5, 6-3 win over his opponent. That win came on the heels of a victory over an Edinboro opponent on Friday. Von der Heyde and Rushing have also been the most consistent doubles tandem for head coach Tina Tharp early on in the season.
