MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.  – 
Sara Ercolani (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown East) smashed a three-run home run, and four different pitcher kept Glenville State at bay as West Chester downed the Pioneers, 9-3, in the first of two games at the Snowbird Tournament Saturday.
 
West Chester (4-2) scored three in the fourth and four in the sixth to erase a one-run deficit and pull away from Glenville State (1-7).
 
The Golden Rams' 3-4-5 hitters accounted for eight RBI and went 5-for-10 at the plate. Ercolani's three-run shot in the fourth made a winner out of 
Kelly Tinsman (Ewing, N.J./Notre Dame) (1-0), who came on in relief of 
Brooke Harner (Chadds Ford, Pa./Kennett) in the top half of the fourth. 
Amanda Houck (Gap, Pa./Pequea Valley) threw the final 1.2 innings, including getting the Rams out of a bases loaded jam in the sixth, to earn her first save of the season.
 
Ercolani finished 2-for-4 with the three RBI and a pair of runs scored. 
Madison Kelly (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall) went 1-for-2 with three RBI. She hit a sacrifice fly in the first to stake WCU to a 1-0 lead. She then hit a two-run single in the sixth to help salt away the game. 
Alyssa Herion (West Grove, Pa./Avon Grove) went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI.
 
Emily Maseth (Westminster, Md./Westminster) went 2-for-4 at the plate with a RBI. She also started the game inside the circle and pitched the first three innings, allowing one unearned run without yielding a hit. She walked three and struck out two.
