BLOOMSBURG, Pa.-
The West Chester University women's soccer team (13-4-1, 11-4-1 PSAC) looks to continue its postseason campaign on Friday morning at Bloomsburg (14-2-2, 12-2-2 PSAC) with that game beginning at 11 a.m.

West Chester and Bloomsburg have met once already this season at the end of September when West Chester traveled to Steph Petit Stadium on a dreary, Sunday afternoon looking to extend its winning streak to six. West Chester did not manage to accomplish this goal as Bloomsburg used a mid-second half goal from leading-scorer Allie Barber to capture the 1-0 victory. West Chester and Bloomsburg also met under slightly different circumstances at the end of the 2017 season when Bloomsburg made the trip east to take on then top-seeded West Chester in the PSAC Quarterfinals. West Chester won this contest courtesy of a late goal from Linzi Wolfe (Quakertown, Pa./Quakertown) to send West Chester through to the semifinals where West Chester met and defeated Gannon by a final score of 2-1. West Chester saw its 2017 PSAC Tournament run come to a close on Championship Saturday losing to East Stroudsburg by the narrowest of margins, 1-0. The Golden Rams will be looking to advance through the PSAC Semifinals and past the Huskies for the second-consecutive season on Friday morning.

A look at West Chester:
West Chester opened its 2018 PSAC Tournament run on Tuesday afternoon against PSAC Rival and No. 5 seed Lock Haven within the familiar confines of Rockwell Field. West Chester used a late first-half goal off a Madison Baxter (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown East) freekick to take a 1-0 lead that it would never relinquish in the 2-0 victory. Nikki Zaso (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill East) added a bit of insurance midway through the second half when she took full advantage of the Lock Haven goalie Bree Hilty mishandling the ball to put West Chester out in front 2-0. McKenna Mullin (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) got the start in goal once again playing the full 90 minutes making six strong saves to keep the ever dangerous Marah Foltz off the scoreboard.

A look at Bloomsburg:

Top-seeded Bloomsburg opened its PSAC Tournament run on Tuesday afternoon as well against No. 8 seed Slippery Rock. The Rock gave its hosts a scare as they took a 1-0 lead to the half thanks to a goal from Jordan Minda off an assist from Skye Kramer. However, this lead did not last as the Huskies came out of the halftime break with high-energy scoring four goals unanswered to pull away with a 4-1 victory. Megan Callan tied the score in the 51st minute before Allie Barber scored two more in the 55th and 70th minutes to take a commanding 3-1 lead. This lead grew shortly thereafter when Maggie McDonald scored a goal of her own after assisting on Barber's second goal to stretch the lead to 4-1. Jenna Hawkins got the start between the pipes for Bloomsburg on Tuesday afternoon and she played well making three strong saves while allowing just one goal to help her squad avoid the Slippery Rock upset bid.

Up Next:
With a win West Chester will not only greatly improve its postseason prospects but the Golden Rams will also advance to the PSAC Championship game for the second consecutive year.
