WEST CHESTER, Pa.- For the second year in a row, the West Chester University field hockey (16-2) will have the chance to play for a PSAC Championship after defeating Millersville (14-6) by a final score of 2-0 in the PSAC Semifinals.
Kaitlin Hatch (Sewell, N.J./Washington Twp.) scored the first goal of the game off an assist from
Taylor Bracale (Hummelstown, Pa./Lower Dauphin) and
Katie Thompson (Washington, N.J./Warren Hills) to give West Chester a 1-0 lead late in the first half.
 In the second half, the lead grew as
Caitie McNamara (Buderim, Australia/Nambour Christian College) scored off an assist from Bracale and Thompson to give the Golden Rams a 2-0 lead.
West Chester ended the game with a 17-3 advantage in shots and a 10-1 advantage in shots on goal. West Chester also ended the game with a commanding 19-3 advantage in penalty corners.
Marissa Elizardo (North Wales, Pa./North Penn) ended the game with one solid save while her counterpart Autumn Peters made eight outstanding saves to slow down the Golden Ram offense.
West Chester will be back in the PSAC Championship game on Sunday afternoon game against the winner of the East Stroudsburg/Shippensburg game with that game scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
