WEST CHESTER, Pa. - Senior
Katie Thompson (Washington, N.J./Warren Hills) scored four goals and finished with five points as No. 2 West Chester blanked visiting New Haven, 6-0, at a rain-soaked Vonnie Gros Field Sunday afternoon.
West Chester (9-0) registered its sixth straight shutout win while remaining perfect on the season while New Haven (4-7) dropped the contest in head coach Kelsi Lykens (WCU '14) first trip back to her alma mater as a head coach.
Riley Baughman (Macungie, Pa./Emmaus) registered a goal and an assist in the win.

Katie Thompson opened up the scoring four minutes in off an assist from
Caitie McNamara (Buderim, Australia).
* In the 10th minute,
Kat Roncoroni (Lebanon Twp., N.J./Voorhees) scored an unassisted tally.
* Thompson then scored 15 seconds into the second half to make it 3-0.
* Thompson and
Riley Baughman then scored 19 seconds apart while assisting on each other's markers.
* Thompson then finished the scoring with four mintues left in the contest.

Claire Nielsen (Wescosville, Pa./Emmaus) did not have to make a save while improving to 9-0 on the season. She posted her sixth straight shutout, running her consecutive scoreless streak to 380 minutes, 39 seconds.

* Thompson finished the weekend with six goals and one assist.
West Chester will head to Bloomsburg on Tuesday for a PSAC showdown with the Huskies. West Chester defeated Bloomsburg, 5-1, in a non-league match back on Sept. 11 at home.
