Kutztown Slips Past West Chester in Last Regular Season Match

KUTZTOWN, Pa. - The West Chester University women's soccer team (11-4-2, 10-4-2 PSAC) took to the road on Saturday afternoon to face off against Kutztown University. The Golden Rams fell short, losing to the Golden Bears 2-1.
 
How It Happened:
  • In the first half, West Chester out shot Kutztown 7-2 but neither team unable to put a goal on the board.
  • Late in the second half, Sophomore Katie Crouthamel (Quakertown, Pa./Quakertown) scored on an assist from Kaleigh Harmon to put the Golden Rams up 1-0.
  • In the 86th minute Kutztown's Alisea Munshower scored for the Golden Bears tying the game at 1-1.
  • Three seconds before the end of regulation, Munshower scored another goal for Kutztown, leaving West Chester with the 2-1 loss.
 
Inside the Numbers:
  • Senior goalkeeper, Brooke Myers (Hershey, Pa./Middletown) made four saves on Saturday's game.
  • The Golden Rams end the regular season at 11-4-2 and 10-4-2 in the conference.
 
Up Next:
West Chester hits the road on Tuesday to face Bloomsburg in the first round of the PSAC quarterfinals. The match-up is set to start at 1 p.m.
