WEST CHESTER, Pa.- On Saturday afternoon, the West Chester University women's basketball team (14-13, 10-9 PSAC) welcomed its rival East Stroudsburg (11-14, 8-10 PSAC) to Hollinger Field House for the front end of a special senior day doubleheader. West Chester trailed early and despite mounting a comeback midway through the contest, the Golden Rams were unable to complete the comeback in the 68-53 setback.

Rylee Power (Newtown Square, Pa./Marple Newtown) and
Madison Torresin (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley).

How it Happened:
- In the first quarter, East Stroudsburg raced out to an early 13-2 lead in the first two and a half minutes of regulation to claim a commanding early lead. West Chester answered back outscoring its guests 29-20 over the course of the final 17 minutes of the first half to cut the deficit to just four (33-29) heading to the halftime break.
- In the third quarter, the two sides traded baskets to open the half before East Stroudsburg closed the stanza on a 19-6 run to claim a 54-40 lead heading to the fourth and final quarter of play.
- In the final quarter, the two sides continued to trade baskets as West Chester limited East Stroudsburg to its second-lowest offensive production of the game, however, it was not enough to complete the comeback in the 68-53 defeat at the hands of the Warriors.
Golden Ram Rundown:
- Destiny Jefferson (Scranton, Pa./West Scranton) led the Golden Rams in scoring once again with 21 points and four rebounds in the setback. Gabrielle Troisi (Norristown, Pa./Pope John Paul II) registered 14 points and 11 rebounds for yet another double while also posting a team-high five assists. Senior Torresin her senior day with a double-digit performance of 10 points while also coming away with eight rebounds and a pair of steals.
- West Chester shot 36.4 % (20-of-55) from the field while also going 4-for-15 (26.7 %) from beyond the arc. The Golden Rams also shot 9-of-14 (64.3 %) from the charity stripe in the setback.
- West Chester was also edged in the rebounding margin by a slim two rebound margin (38-36) due to a minus-two margin on the defensive glass.
East Stroudsburg Breakdown:
- Tiffany Lapotsky had a solid afternoon as she registered a game-high 25 points while also coming away with seven rebounds as the only Warrior in double-figures.
- As a team, the Warriors shot 43.1 % (25-of-58) while also shooting 29.4 % (5-of-17) from deep and 59.1 (13-of-22) from the charity stripe.
