MILLERSVILLE, Pa- The West Chester University men's tennis team was back in action on Wednesday afternoon on the road at Millersville. Despite battling throughout the afternoon, West Chester fell by a final of 7-0.
In doubles play,
Chris Succi (Yardley, Pa./Pennsburg) and
Noah Decampo (Littlestown, Pa./Littlestown) dropped first doubles 6-1 while
Devin Paulison (Milford, Pa./Delaware Valley) and
Adam Courtemanche (Greenville, R.I./Smithfield) fell in second doubles 6-3.
Gavin Kenny (Hanover, Pa./South Western) and
Brett Spano dropped third doubles 6-0 to send West Chester to singles play trailing 1-0.
In Singles play, Succi dropped first singles 6-0, 6-0 before Paulison fell in second singles 6-1, 6-1,which led to West Chester trailing 3-0 in the early going. At third singles, Courtemanche fell 7-5, 6-4 before Kenny dropped the fourth singles spot 6-0, 6-1. In the fifth spot, Spano fell 6-0, 6-0 before Decampo dropped the final singles spot 6-1, 6-2 in the 7-0 setback for West Chester.
West Chester will be back in action next Wednesday afternoon at Chestnut Hill with that match set to begin at 2 p.m.
