GLENSIDE, Pa. - West Chester University men's tennis beat Arcadia 9-0 in the season opener on Tuesday.
Freshman
Andre Zequeira (Humaco, P.R. / The Palmas Academy) won No. 1 singles 6-2, 6-0 and No. 1 doubles 8-5. His partner was sophomore
Chris Succi (Yardley, Pa. / Pennsbury), who won his singles match 6-1, 6-3 in the No. 3 spot.
Senior
Adam Courtemanche (Greenville, R.I. / Smithfield) and sophomore
Noah DeCampo (Littlestown, Pa. / Littlestown) shutout a Knights duo 8-0 in second doubles. Courtemanche won 6-2, 6-1 in No. 2 doubles. DeCampo won 6-2, 7-5 in the fifth slot.
Senior
Devin Paulison (Milford, Pa. / Delaware Valley) teamed up with freshman
Christoph Baroudi (Gambrills, Md. / Arundel) to also win 8-0 in the No. 3 doubles match.
Sophomore
Brett Spano (Chadds Ford, Pa.) and junior
Gavin Kenny (Hanover, Pa. / South Western) also won singles matches in the fourth and sixth matches, respectively.
West Chester returns home for its next match on Sept. 27 at 2 p.m. against University of the Sciences.
