DAHLONEGA, Ga. No. 8 West Chester managed to score one run to close out the weekend as they lost to No. 16 North Georgia 9-1 on Sunday. West Chester is now 1-3 on the season while North Georgia improves to 11-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Nighthawks struck first, scoring six runs in the bottom of the first.
- North Georgia added two runs to their lead in the bottom of the second on a two-RBI double.
- Bri Garber (Willow Street, Pa. / Lampeter-Strasburg) hit an RBI triple in the top of the third to get West Chester on the board, scoring Emily Kim (Bel Air, Md. / C. Milton Wright).
- North Georgia added an additional run in the bottom of the sixth, leading to the final score of 9-1.

- Garber went two-for-three on the day with a triple and one RBI.
- Kim batted one for two with one run scored.
- Emily Maseth (Westminster, Md. / Westminster) hit two-for-three on the day.

- Garber's two hits bring her one step closer to eclipsing Erin MacNamee's program record for most career hits. Garber now owns 236 career hits and is eight behind MacNamee's 244.
