HERSHEY, PA - Brock Fassnacht (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) moved all the way up to seventh overall while leading West Chester's men's golf squad to a fifth-place finish at the 2021 PSAC Men's Golf Championships held at Hershey East Golf Course this weekend.
West Chester, which shot an identical 300 on each of the first two days of the tournament, came in Sunday with a 299 to conclude the 54-hole event with an 899. Indiana (Pa.) held onto first place to win the overall team title with a score of 875.Gannon was runner-up with an 881 while Mercyhurst came in third with an 890. Pitt-Johnstown was fourth with an 891. California (Pa.) was behind West Chester in sixth with a 912, and Shepherd was seventh with a 913. Millersville, Clarion and Bloomsburg rounded out the field.
Fassnacht carded a 1-under 70 on Sunday to tie for seventh on the individual leaderboard with a score of 221.
Jacob Sokalsky (Garnet Valley, Pa./Garnet Valley) shot a 2-over 73 in the cold and windy conditions to post a Top 10 finish with a 224.
Chris Warner (Medford, N.J./Shawnee) tied for 15th with a 226, and
Connor Stine (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Twp.) tied for 23rd with a 228.
IUP's Isaiah Swan won the individual championship with a three-round total of 213. Gannon's Abe Holmes was runner-up with a 215 while his teammate Connor Bennink was third with a 216.
