MILLERSVILLE, PA – The 21st-ranked West Chester women's soccer team took to the road today and secured a 2-0 victory against PSAC rival Millersville.
West Chester (10-2-1, 10-2-1) started out the game strong after a
Maggie Lena (Santa Monica, CA / Santa Monica / Marquette) goal put the Golden Rams on the scoreboard in the second minute.
Leading 1-0 in the match with a steady offense, the Golden Rams took four corner kicks in the last six minutes of the first half, testing the Millersville (5-5-3, 5-5-2) defense. The Marauder defending crew prevailed.

Gabrielle White (Chadds Ford, PA / Unionville) scored her second goal of the season with a shot into the upper left portion of the goal to give the Golden Rams a commanding 2-0 lead.
The lead held up for the remainder of the match, despite the Marauders edging out the Golden Rams in an 8-7 shot advantage.
West Chester goalkeeper
Hayley McGee (Mechanicsburg, PA / Cumberland) worked hard in the 90 minutes, making eight saves for the Golden Rams. Millersville goalkeeper Reagan Kolinski made five successful saves for the Marauders on their home turf.
The Golden Rams will return to action on Rockwell Field Saturday at 12 p.m. to take on Shippensburg.
