West Chester Clashes With East Stroudsburg Friday in PSAC Semifinals

SHIPPENSBURG, PA – West Chester University is all set to face East Stroudsburg University in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Field Hockey Tournament semifinals Friday afternoon at approximately 3:30 p.m. at the Robb Sports Complex on the campus of Shippensburg University.
 
West Chester (14-3) gets a rematch with East Stroudsburg (15-3) after knocking off Kutztown at home in the quarterfinals last Tuesday. The Warriors defeated the Golden Rams, 1-0, at Vonnie Gros Field in the team's regular-season meeting. The other semifinal is the first game of the day and pits top-seed and host, Shippensburg (16-0), against No. 4 seed Millersville (15-3) at 12 p.m.
 
Tickets to the PSAC Field Hockey Championships this weekend are $10 for adults and $5 for students each day and can be purchased at the gate on the day of the event. Students from a PSAC member institution with a valid ID are admitted free. No comp tickets are available. Only PSAC passes will be honored.
 
If you go, due to construction on the Shippensburg University campus, parking for the championships at Robb Sports Complex is affected due to the closure of a few parking lots. Visitors to the Shippensburg University campus are advised to afford extra time to find adequate parking. A parking map can be found on Shippensburg's web site with the Parking Advisory.
 
East Stroudsburg is the second seed in the tournament and received a first-round bye into the semifinals. The Warriors are also the defending PSAC champions having defeated Kutztown in 2019 on West Chester's field.
