WEST CHESTER, PA -
Gabby White's (Chadds Ford, PA / Unionville) header lifted the Golden Rams to a 2-1 win in double overtime against East Stroudsburg University (1-2-1) on the sun splashed Rockwell Field Wednesday afternoon.
White finished off a cross from
Antonia Linus (Huntington Valley, PA / Penn Charter) in the 107th minute of play, sending the West Chester (2-0-1) bench into a frenzy.
The Golden Rams forced the game into overtime with a goal in the 85th minute by
Kaitlynn Haughey (Philadelphia, PA / Penn Charter), assisted by
Jacqueline Bruno (Elizabethtown, PA / Elizabethtown). Haughey tapped in a cross from Bruno right on the doorstep.
East Stroudsburg took the lead in the first half, with Haley Skove striking in the 13th minute, assisted by Caitlin Norwood. Warrior's goalkeeper, Mauri Jackson, made 13 saves during the match.
By the end of regulation, goalkeeper
Haley McGee (Mechanicsburg, PA / Cumberland), made five saves for the Golden Rams.
West Chester will be back in action again on Saturday traveling to Lock Haven University to take on the Lady Eagles at Stern Athletic Complex.
