SEATTLE, WA - West Chester University's women's soccer picked up a 2-1 victory over Ferris State University in the NCAA Division II semifinals Thursday evening at Interbay Stadium on the campus of Seattle Pacific University.

Maggie Lena (Santa Monica, Cal./Santa Monica) scored the game-winning goal off an assist from
Kaitlyn Haughey (Philadelphia, Pa./Penn Charter) and
Jacqueline Hug (West Chester, Pa./Unionville) in the 65th minute that stood as the final measure over the next 25 minutes of play. With the win, West Chester (23-0-1) advances to its first national championship game in program history and will take on the winner of Columbus State vs. Western Washington. Ferris State (12-6-7) saw its run through the NCAA Tournament come to a close with the loss.

Newly anointed first-team All-America goalkeeper,
Hayley McGee (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley), made five saves to extend her school record of wins in a single season to 23. In the process, the Golden Rams tied the school mark for the longest unbeaten streak in a season.
Hug put top-seeded West Chester on the board first in the 26th minute when she took a cross from
Alyson Cutter (Warrington, Pa./Central Bucks South), beat a defender at the top of the box and ripped a shot past Ferris State keeper Darya Mosallaei. Hug finished the match with a goal and an assist.
Ferris State answered back 10 minutes later with a goal from Brinley Bell to level the score at 1-1 heading into halftime.

The second 45 started with an increase in pressure from West Chester's defense.
Jordyn Dupes (Middletown, Pa./Middletown) was fantastic on the back line for the Golden Rams keeping the Bulldogs at bay all evening.
