West Chester Women Ready For Saturday’s Tri-Meet Inside Graham Natatorium

WEST CHESTER, PA – A bevy of talent and leadership from the upper class should have West Chester University Women's Swimming & Diving contending for another Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championship in February.

Saturday, West Chester's women hit the water opposite a pair of familiar foes in PSAC rival Shippensburg and regional contender Southern Connecticut State University at 12 p.m. at Graham Natatorium on South Campus. The meet will be web streamed by Sports Fan Base Network (SFBN) HERE.

West Chester returns seven national qualifiers from last spring and four swimmers who combined to win nine conference titles at the PSAC's last year – helping the Golden Rams to their 19th conference championship and 15th straight conference title in which West Chester entered.

Headlining that group is fifth-year senior Ann Carozza (West Chester, Pa./East), who won a national championship and set two national records at NCAA's in the spring. Lila DiCarlo (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Trinity), Keeley Durkin (Brookhaven, Pa./Sun Valley), Sophie Gerhart (Spring Mills, Pa./Penn Valley Area), Caitlin Hamill (Collegeville, Pa./Villa Maria Academy), McKenzie Hemingway (Chestertown, Md./Queen Anne's County), Maddy Koehle (State College, Pa./State College) and Mikayla Niness (Spring City, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) are the other individual national qualifiers. Skylar Strunk (Mertztown, Pa./Brandywine Heights) and Samantha Trumble (Dallastown, Pa./Dallastown) also qualified for nationals on relays.

Off the diving boards, Evie Altland (Middletown, Pa./Lancaster Country Day), Gabriella Arra (Havertown, Pa./Haverford) return, and are joined by freshman Zoe Gillen (York, Pa./Dallastown).
