West Chester Women Defeat Bloomsburg, 120-49

MEET RESULTS

BLOOMSBURG, PA – Keeley Durkin (Brookhaven, Pa./Sun Valley) won three events, and the visiting Golden Rams won 9 of the 11, as West Chester cruised to a 120-49 victory over host Bloomsburg in a dual swim meet Friday night.
 
Durkin won the 200-yard freestyle, 500 free and the 1000 free to pace the Golden Rams effort. McKenzie Hemingway (Chestertown, Md./Queen Anne's County) anchored a pair of relay wins in both the 400 medley and 200 free relays.
 
West Chester swept the top three spots in the 400 Individual Medley, 100 butterfly and the 100 breaststroke). Lenya Ryan (Wilmington, Del./Mount Pleasant) led the trio of Golden Rams to the wall in the 400 IM. Sophia Gerhart (Spring Mills, Pa./Penn Valley Area) and Allie Defrehn (Mullica, N.J./Clearview Regional) were right behind her.
 
In the 100 fly, Isabella Kil (Enola, Pa./East Pennsboro) touched the wall first led by Mallory Pardoe (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport Area) and Amy Masciulli (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton). Maddy Koehle (State College, Pa./State College Area), Kil and Ryan were the top three in the 100 breast.
 
Lila DiCarlo (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Trinity) won the 100 backstroke for West Chester's other first-place showing.
 
The swim team will be back in action in November when they travel to the Total Performance Invitational hosted by Kenyon University.
