BLOOMSBURG, PA –
Ryan D'Ariano (West Chester, Pa./Bayard Rustin) took individual medalist honors, and teammate
Connor Strine (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Twp.) was second, as West Chester's men's golf squad claimed the 2023 Husky Invitational at the Golf Course at Frosty Valley on a beautiful Thursday afternoon.
The conditions couldn't have been more different than what the men played in earlier in the week at the Indiana Country Club in Indiana, Pa., where 30-degree temperatures and snow flurries greeted the Purple & Gold. Thursday under sunny skies and temperatures nearly 30 degrees warmer, West Chester shot a 301 to claim the team title while D'Ariano signed for a round-low 73, and Strine carded a 74 to pace the field.
Competing as an individual,
Hamilton McNaughton (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Twp.) was right behind his teammates in a tie for third with a 75.
West Chester will be back on the links April 23 and 24 at Iron Valley Golf Club for the NCAA Preivew Tournament in Lebanon, Pa.
