Miller and Curley Highlight No. 6 West Chester's 5-0 Road Win

GARDEN CITY, N.Y. – Senior forward Jasmine Miller (Millersville, Pa./Penn Manor) posted her third career hat trick, and graduate student Ryan Curley (Malvern, Pa./Great Valley) posted her eighth career shutout in the cage, as visiting West Chester stormed to a 5-0 victory over host Adelphi Thursday afternoon at Motamed Field.

West Chester (2-1) posted a goal in each of the first three quarters and then finished out the game with two in the fourth to take command of Adelphi (0-3). It was the Golden Rams' first road test of the season, and the Purple & Gold passed with flying colors.

Miller tallied in the second, third and fourth quarters to tie her single-game career high for goals. It also gives her 35 career markers moving her past current assistant coach Alexis Versak and into a tie for sixth all-time at the Division II level with former Golden Ram Caitlin Kelly. Ella Shockley (Delmar, Del./Delmar) opened the scoring in the first quarter while freshman Veerle Hersman (The Netherlands) potted her first college goal to close out the scoring in the fourth.

West Chester outshot Adelphi by a 19-9 margin and held a resounding 14-2 advantage in penalty corners.

The Golden Rams have a quick turnaround as they welcome undefeated Bloomsburg University (4-0) to Vonnie Gros Field Friday night under the lights at 6 p.m.
