Last season, the Golden Rams secured its 22nd PSAC Championship at the Graham Aquatic Center. West Chester defeated its competition by nearly 300 points, totaling 1,329 on the week.
West Chester has swept the conference championships on both the Men's and Women's sides over the past five years. This winning streak shows no signs of slowing down, as the Golden Rams enter the new season riding a wave of momentum and confidence.
FLOCK TALK
West Chester defeated Southern Connecticut State in the team's season opener with a dominant win, with the final score 164-71. The Golden Rams won 10 of 13 events in the effort against the Owls. Senior Isabella Kil (Enola, Pa./East Pennsboro) dominated the meet, winning three individual events and helping lead the 200-yard medley relay team to a first-place finish. Greta Saville (Mordialloc, Australia) also won multiple events taking victory in the 200 freestyle and 500 free. Divers Alicia McHugh (Jenkintown, Pa./Abington) and Kacey Lenz (Swarthmore, Pa./Ridley) took first and second in the 1-meter springboard competition. West Chester brings back a strong core of 12 returners this season, including three talented divers.
