MANSFIELD, Pa.- Kate Alexander (East Islip, N.Y./East Islip) scored two goals and was one of six Golden Rams to find the back of the net on Saturday as the West Chester University women's soccer team (7-1-3) cruised to an 8-0 win over Mansfield (0-8-0).
Victoria Pungello (Jackson, N.J./Jackson Memorial) scored the first goal of the game just over four minutes in off an assist from
Jacqueline Graham (Toms River, N.J./Toms River North) before the lead doubled on an own goal in the 11
th minute.
Lauren Reimold (Chester Springs, Pa./Downingtown East) added a goal of her own in the 22
nd minute before
Kate Alexander (East Islip, N.Y./East Islip) scored a goal of her own in the 30
th minute to give West Chester a commanding 4-0 lead.
Alexander scored her second of the day just over five minutes later off the second consecutive assist from
Maddie Mosier (Hockessin, Del./Padua) before
Adriana Ryder (Hamilton, N.J./Steinert) got in on the act off an assist from
Brielle Zink (Islip, N.Y./Islip) to give the Golden Rams a 6-0 lead with just over five minutes to play until halftime.
Up six at the half, West Chester ended the first half with a 15-0lead in shots, a 10-0lead in shots on goal, and a 5-0 lead in corners.

Sydney Waits (Dillsburg, Pa./Northern) scored her first goal as a Golden Ram off an assist from
Chloe Bucher (Lancaster, Pa./Lampeter-Strasburg) to extend the lead to 7-0.
Hailey Primwhere (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) finished out the scoring for West Chester in the 89
th minute when she deposited a goal of her own in the top right corner to make the score 8-0 in favor of the visiting Golden Rams.
West Chester dominated the match throughout the afternoon on Saturday, ending the game with a 31-1 lead in shots, an 18-1 lead in shots on goal, and an 8-0 lead in corners.
West Chester employed a three-keeper system in the shutout victory as
Grace Keen (Lincoln University, Pa./Avon Grove) played the first 18 minutes before
Sam Hollish (Horsham, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) played the next 53 and
Domenica Rassi (Massapequa Park, N.Y./Massapequa) played the final 19, making the lone save of the afternoon.
Serenity Esterline got the start for Mansfield and made nine saves while allowing seven goals in 73 minutes of work before Angel Gule entered for the final 17 minutes and made a pair of saves to finish out the loss.
