NEW YORK –
West Chester's 200-yard freestyle relay was the lone winner on Saturday while Isabella Kil (Enola, Pa./East Pennsboro) was the only runner-up in leading the Golden Rams' women in a 184-53 loss to New York University inside Palladium Athletic Facility.
West Chester (1-1) winning 200 free relay team consisted of
Sam Heiland (West Chester, Pa./West Chester East),
Sam Kil (Enola, Pa./East Pennsboro),
Greta Saville (Mordialloc, Australia) and
Anna Evans (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn). They touched the wall in 1 minute, 40.65 seconds.
Isabella Kil was second in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:24.96, which was about one second behind NYU's winner, Sammy Wong.
West Chester's divers took fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh in both the 1-meter and 3m springboard competitions.
Alicia McHugh (Jenkintown, Pa./Abington) was fourth in both events while
Kacey Lenz (Swarthmore, PA Ridley) was fifth and
Tori Willson (Milford, PA Delaware Valley) sixth, respectively, in both events.
West Chester returns to action on Oct. 17 when they travel to Division I foe Lehigh University for a 5:00 p.m. non-conference meet.
