Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men's Soccer Falls to Bloomsburg, 2-0

BLOOMSBURG, Pa.-  The West Chester University men's soccer team (4-3-1, 1-1-0) put its winning streak to the test on Saturday afternoon with its first road game of PSAC East play at the home of the defending PSAC Champions, Bloomsburg (4-0-3, 1-0-1). Bloomsburg scored two goals in the first half and used these early tallies to hold off West Chester in a 2-0 victory on Saturday evening.

Jake Pacacha opened the scoring in the 23rd minute before Caleb Sitler added a goal of his own in the 36th minute to stretch the lead to 2-0 before the halftime break.

Despite the halftime deficit, West Chester matched Bloomsburg in shots through the first half, taking seven shots each, while shots on goal and corners were also even at 2-2.

In the second half, Bloomsburg tightened defensively and held West Chester to just four shots with only one shot finding its way on goal despite two corner kicks as the Husky defense quieted the potent Golden Ram offense in a 2-0 victory on Saturday evening.
Bloomsburg ended the game with a 12-11 lead in shots and a 4-3 lead in shots on goal, while corners were even at 4-4.

Jaden Howard (Townsend, Del./Middletown) made two saves in the loss, while Peter Punchello made three stops for Bloomsburg.
