EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa.- Jenna Fox (Magnolia, Del./Polytech) scored the eventual game-winner 14 minutes into the match to help lead the 15
th-ranked West Chester University women's soccer team (12-1-4, 9-1-4) to a 2-0 victory over East Stroudsburg (5-9-3, 2-9-3) on Wednesday night on the final day of the 2025 regular season.
With its victory tonight, West Chester wins the PSAC East Regular Season crown outright after earning a share of the crown and the top-seed in the PSAC Tournament with its win over Lock Haven on Saturday. This marks the first time since 2022 that West Chester has won the PSAC East Regular Season title outright and with a win on Tuesday, West Chester will host PSAC Championship weekend for the first time since 2017.
Fox gave West Chester the early lead, and
Faith Matter (Middletown, Pa./Middletown) doubled the lead in the 71
st minute, following a PK chance by
Adriana Ryder (Hamilton, N.J./Steinert), which was initially saved by a diving Emmy Clarkson.
West Chester dominated possession throughout the match on Wednesday night, outshooting its hosts 33-5 overall, including a 16-1 advantage in shots on goal and a 10-1 lead in corners.
Clarkson was spectacular for East Stroudsburg in the losing effort, making 14 saves in a valiant attempt to slow the Golden Ram offense.
Grace Keen (Lincoln University, Pa./Avon Grove) needed to make just one save in the 30
th minute to earn her 12
th win and league-leading ninth shutout of the season.
