STROUDSBURG, Pa.- Looking for at least one win to bolster its PSAC Tournament chances, the West Chester University softball team (29-16, 15-13) went on the road on Tuesday afternoon and fell to No. 12 East Stroudsburg (38-9-1, 22-5-1) by 1-0 and 7-2 finals as the Warriors completed a season sweep of the Golden Rams.

East Stroudsburg scored the first run of the game in the second inning with a two-out RBI single off the bat of Shannon Edelman that gave the Warriors a 1-0 lead.
Danielle Ciliberto (Ambler, Pa./Wissahickon) lined a double into the left center gap to lead off the fourth, but Sarah Davenport worked out of the inning quickly, getting two of the three outs needed via strikeouts to increase her total to nine through four innings.
Makenzie Edwards (Atco, N.J./Hammonton) was the tough luck loser in game one, pitching six strong innings, scattering just three hits and one run while walking two and striking out three.
Unfortunately for Edwards and the Golden Rams, Davenport was even more impressive. for East Stroudsburg, going the distance in the circle, allowing just one hit and three walks while striking out 15, including the side in the seventh to finish off the 1-0 victory.
Game Two: #12 ESU 7 WCU 2

Ciliberto gave West Chester an early lead with a two-run home run in the first as she took the third pitch of the at-bat over the left field fence to stake the Purple and Gold to an early 2-0 lead.
In the fourth, East Stroudsburg took advantage of a throwing error to cut the lead in half and took the lead moments later with a two-RBI single into center to hold a slim 3-2 lead over the Golden Rams.
In the fifth, ESU took advantage of another Golden Ram defensive miscue as a throwing error brought home two more runs and gave the hosts a late 5-2 lead.
A fielder's choice and an RBI single through the left side gave East Stroudsburg a commanding 7-2 lead heading into the seventh.
Abbie Landrum worked a 1,2,3 seventh inning to pick up the save after pitching three scoreless innings in relief with three strikeouts. Faith Troyer earned the win for ESU, allowing just two runs on four
hits while striking out two as she pitched the first four innings to earn her seventh win of the year.
Ciliberto suffered her sixth (15-6) loss of the season in the circle, allowing five runs (one earned) on six hits while striking out three.
Alyssa Tooley (Horsham, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) entered in relief and allowed two runs on three hits in the sixth.
