Last Time Out
West Chester ventured to West Virginia on Friday in the midst of a four-game losing streak and dropped game one by a 9-1 final in six innings before rebounding with a 4-2 win in the nightcap to pick up an important split and halt a five-game losing streak. In the nightcap, West Chester trailed early and was down by a run (2-1) heading into the seventh, despite a sixth-inning RBI single by Paige Marabell but a two-RBI single by Mairead Hopkins and an RBI single by Casey Best in the seventh was enough for West Chester to earn the 4-2 road victory. Danielle Ciliberto earned her eighth win of the year at Shepherd on Friday, scattering just seven hits and two unearned runs while striking out four in a complete-game effort.
