KUTZTOWN, Pa.- Margaux Solis (Houston, Tx./Klein) shot a four-over 76 to lead the West Chester University women's golf team in the opening round of the Millersville Fall Classic at Berkleigh Golf Club on Monday afternoon. This opening round was enough to help West Chester out to an early team lead once again as the Golden Rams shot a 313 to carry a 14-stroke lead over Adelphi into the second round on Tuesday.
Solis, who carded a birdie on the par-five fifth and the par-five 13
th, is one of three Golden Rams in the top five after the opening round as
Cara Murphy (Massillon, Ohio/Jackson) is third at +5 (77), while
Taryn Brandt (Denton, Md./North Caroline) is fifth with an opening round score of +6 (78).
