KUTZTOWN, Pa.- Cara Murphy (Massillon, Ohio/Jackson) won her second Tournament of the fall to help lead the West Chester University women's golf team to its second team title of the fall at the Millersville Fall Classic at Berkleigh Golf Club in Kutztown. West Chester fired a 313 on day one and shot a 305 on day two to finish with a two-day score of 618, 25 strokes clear of Adelphi in second place.
Murphy moved from third into first on the leaderboard with a four-over 76, recording birdies on the par-four eighth, par-three 12
th, and par-five 18
th to capture the individual crown by three strokes over
Hanna Lignell (Gothenburg, Sweden/Kitas Gymnasium). Lignell made one of the biggest jumps of anyone in the field on Tuesday afternoon as she carded a two-over 74 in the second round with a birdie on the par-three 12
th as part of her round, which saw her climb from 14
th to second on the individual leaderboard.
