BRISTOL, TN.- Hanna Lignell (Gothenburg, Sweden/Kitas Gymnasium) fired another even-par round with a birdie on the par-four 17
th to capture her first Individual Tournament title as a Golden Ram and help the West Chester University women's golf team win its third Tournament in a row to open the year with a two-day score of 596 (300, 296).
Lignell finished the Tournament at even-par, one stroke clear of Reagan Padilla of Tusculum, who also fired an even-par round of 71 on Tuesday afternoon.
Cara Murphy (Massillon, Ohio/Jackson) and
Fatima Rizvi (Lucknow, India/RPS Academies) joined Lignell in the top-10 in fifth and sixth at +6 (76, 72; 148) and +9 (76, 75; 151), respectively. The women's competitors finished on the front nine once again on Tuesday and Murphy put together an excellent final nine holes, including an eagle on the par-five fifth and birdies on the par-four third and par-five ninth to shoot a 34 and sign for a final round of 72.
Lignell, is one of three Golden Rams in the top-10 along with
Cara Murphy (Massillon, Ohio/Jackson) and
Fatima Rizvi (Lucknow, India/RPS Academies) who are both tied for seventh at +5 (76).
