WEST CHESTER, PA – West Chester University's men's and women's swimming & diving teams return to the Graham Natatorium Friday night welcoming in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) rival in Bloomsburg University.
- West Chester's men are coming off an upset over last year's Division III National Runner-Up in New York University. The Golden Rams took down the Division III powerhouse, 141-102, at home last Saturday afternoon.
- West Chester's women's squad fell short against the 2025-26 NCAA Division III National Champions in New York University, 181-62.
- West Chester University junior sprint freestyle swimmer, Till Schroeder (Weisbaden, Germany), was named the Men's Swimming Athlete of the Week by the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) in its initial weekly award presentation for 2026-27. Schroeder won two individual events and helped one relay to a first-place showing as West Chester University upset the Division III national runner-up from a year ago in New York University. Schroeder's hand in three wins catapulted the Golden Rams to their first win over NYU since 2016. Schroeder took first place in the 50-yard freestyle (21.07 seconds) and the 100 free (46.61) while swimming a leg of the 400 medley relay that touched the wall first in 3 minutes, 22.62 seconds. Schroeder also won the 50 free in a tri-meet on Sept. 26 against Southern Connecticut State and the University of Bridgeport. He was second in the 100 free in that tri-meet as well, giving him three individual first-place efforts and one relay first place showing so far this season. In short, West Chester should field a very strong and deep men's team.
- West Chester University freshman butterfly specialist, Dani Hinkson (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny), was named the Women's Swimming Athlete of the Week by the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) in its initial weekly award presentation for 2026-27. Hinkson kicked off her college career with a pair of individual first-place efforts in both the 100-yard butterfly (58.42 seconds) and the 200 individual medley (2 minutes, 12.85 seconds) while helping the 200 medley relay take first place as well (1:50.09). Those three wins came in a tri-meet against Southern Connecticut State and University of Bridgeport on Sept. 26. Hinkson followed that up with a second-place showing in the 200 butterfly against last year's Division III National Champions, New York University, this past Saturday. She touched the wall in that event in 2:12.53.Sophomore Greta Saville (Mordialloc, Australia) is a returning three-time individual champion and a champion on one relay. She should score a lot of points once again for the Golden Rams' ladies. She has just gotten better since last winter. Sophomore Michalina Jasinska (Warsaw, Poland) was a 300-point scorer for the Golden Rams at last year's conference meet.
- West Chester's men's and women's diving teams will be back in action again for the first time since the opening meet of the season in late September. They will compete in Hollinger Field House in the North Campus pool.
